Q:
What an old fisherman would advice me for sea?

A:

The sea so sweet and calm as it looks it can ban quickly transformed into a wild Beast. Either is a woman or see, it is the same thing. Do not provoke her.

  • • The weather gets usually bad from the west. Should you see clouds coming from there and weather gets black return immediately back.
    • When you operate close to shore keep the speed lower than five knots and not planes. The accidents with divers in Greece are too many. There are reefs on shallows that cannot be seen. They can damage the boat or engine.
    • Enter the port carefully and at beaches with swimmers. Lift up the engine at shallows and use the oars.
    • Some days a year there might be strong sea currents in open sea. In case of an engine problem try to reach the shore using the oars or call another boat for help.
    • You are obliged to help anyone you ask it when you are in sea.
    • Never go against the weather with full speed and planes boat. Turn down the engine revolutions and move carefully.
    • Have always reserve fuels and water with you. It is more possible to need water than fuels.
    • Ware always the life-jacket at least on your kids.
    • Have always with you the necessary protective means against sun.

    Have a nice trip
